“Alexandria Containers” signs a contract with the international “CMA CGM” to trade on the berths of its terminals
Major General Salah El-Din Helmy, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Holding Company for Maritime and Land Transport, affiliated to the Ministry of Public Business Sector witnessed, Thursday, 2/9/2021, the signing of a two-year agreement contract between the Alexandria Container and Cargo Handling Company and CMA CGM, a French international shipping company, which is one of the The largest lines dealing with the company in terms of trading volume.
The agreement was signed by Major General Yasser Heikal, the new Managing Director of Alexandria Container Company, and Eng. Tarek Zaghloul, CEO of CMA CGM in Egypt.
This signing comes within the framework of a strategic vision on various axes that enables Alexandria Container and CargoHandling to maintain existing clients and try to attract new clients.
Under this contract, the ships of the shipping line CMA CGM are anchored on the berths of the stations of the Alexandria Container Handling Company in Alexandria and Dekheila ports, to conduct loading, unloading and container handling works.
This signature confirms the company’s constant keenness to respond to the demands of large-sized lines, which are concentrated in high performance rates and provide distinguished service at competitive prices, in addition to the continuous updating of the company’s equipment and reliance on modern electronic systems TOS in the management and operation of ships, yards and gates, and the ERP system to manage the company’s resources and complete the process digital conversion.
It is noteworthy that the Alexandria Container and Cargo Handling Company is the first holding company for maritime and land transport in implementing the electronic collection system with customers and all government agencies.
